Experience Buenos Aires by bike

An alternative way to experience Buenos Aires yourself is by bicycle. The program “Mejor en Bici” established by the government of Buenos Aires provides a rental service for bicycles, which is absolutely free!
It’s an opportunity to get to know the city which is not only more environmental-friendly and good for your health but as well it is fast and more enjoyable then to stuck in traffic by bus or sweating like crazy in the metro.To profit from this Service, here is what you need to do:
1. Show your ID or Passport and a receipt of residence with your name on it or a certification of residence from the federal police and copies of both. The second option will cost you 10 Pesos and you can pass by any federal police office. Any receipt can’t exceed two month of Antiquity.
2. They will take a picture of you and give you a pin Number, that’s for identification reasons.
3. You’ll need to sign a declaration by accepting the conditions
… and you ride your bicycle for free. You can use this service as many times as you like, every hour you have to give your bike back at one of the stations but you can take directly another one. There are 21 Bike-stations spread all over the City. The rental stations are open from Monday to Friday (09 – 20h) and on Saturdays (09-15h). For further informations click here.
